We're up for two awards:'Best Credit Union' (South) and 'Treating Customers Fairly Champion'.
The Bristol Credit Union (BCU) team are having online celebrations because… drumroll… we have been voted as finalists in two categories of Smart Money People’s Consumer Credit Awards! And now we need your support to vote for us so we have the chance to win. Here's why we are so excited....
There’s a new category especially for credit unions
This year, there’s a new award designed to acknowledge the positive social impact of credit unions and we’re finalists for the ‘Best Credit Union (South)’ category. Credit unions are an important part of local communities. From improving financial wellbeing to supporting fantastic local projects that are making our neighbourhoods better places to live, community is at the heart of everything we do. We are proud to be nominated alongside our southern credit union counterparts for this new category.
Championing treating customers fairly
At BCU, ‘Treating Customers Fairly’ is an integral part of our organisation. When it comes to lending, we ensure our members get a fair deal with affordable interest rates, plus our staff are here to help our members understand their finances, aiming to take away any worry or stress with the fairest service possible. That's why we were delighted to hear that we had been shortlisted for the award of 'Treating Customers Fairly Champion'.
The awards are voted for by the general public (yes, that’s you!)
The awards are voted for entirely by the public therefore, in true cooperative spirit, you get the opportunity to have a say. Your votes so far have helped us become finalists, but if you haven’t already voted for us there’s still time to get involved.
