Easter is nearly here, which means school will soon be out for spring. And while the cost of living may still be biting, enjoying the holidays doesn’t have to mean stretching your budget.
The good news? There are plenty of low-cost and free activities across the South West this Easter. From trails and craft days to community events and outdoor adventures, there’s lots to keep everyone entertained without the pressure to spend.
Bristol & Bath
Clifton Village Easter bunny trail (Bristol)
30 March to 12 April
Hop around Clifton Village and see if you can spot all the hidden bunnies in shop windows. It’s free, fun, and a great excuse for a wander.
Free craft & cake days + Easter egg hunt (Müller House, Bristol)
Craft days: 14 and 16 April (10am to 3pm)
Egg hunt: 7 to 17 April (10am to 4pm)

Easter eggcitement at the American Museum (Bath)
3 to 19 April
A colourful trail, craft activities and plenty of open space to explore. There is also an extra egg hunt on Easter Sunday, making it a great option for a full day out. Check out the full list of activities here.
Crafty kits at Fox and Kit (Bath)
4 April from 1pm–2pm
A cosy, creative Easter craft session designed especially for younger children.
At £10 per child, Little ones can enjoy 1–2 guided craft activities with all materials provided.
Somerset
Easter on the farm- Somerset Rural Life Museum
Tons of fun with low-cost easter trails (around £1 per child), hands-on activities and the chance to meet animals. Their unlimited pass means you can visit again and again over the holidays
Collett Park Easter fun
4 April, 11am–2pm
A free egg hunt and bonnet parade, plus a chance to meet lambs and other animals. There are also low‑cost extras like face painting for just £1. Find out more here.
Easter workshops at East Quay
Drop-in creative sessions, including puppet making, collage and spring crafts. Many are free, with some workshops from £3 per family, a great way to keep little hands busy.

From woodland walks to craft sessions and local Easter hunts, the region has plenty of free and low-cost ways to get outside and spend time together over the break.
Easter activities at St Peter’s Garden Centre

Easter eggstravaganza at Over Farm (Gloucester)
28 March to 12 April
A full day of outdoor fun, with farm animals, tractor rides, live shows and Easter egg hunts on selected dates.
