Halloween events during the October half-term

Our guide to some of the best Halloween events to attend during the upcoming October half-term.

It seems like the school term just started and we are already thinking about half-term. Leave the last-minute scrambling behind and check out our guide to the best Halloween-themed children’s events near you!

Bristol

If you have little ones under 12, make sure to check out ‘Spooky Inflatable Funday’ at Emersons Green Village Hall. For £6, your child gets an hour to bounce on a selection of inflatables. There are  special inflatables for under-3’s and disco music for everyone to enjoy! Find out more here.

If you have a slime-loving child, this event is perfect for them. Check out Winterbourne Medieval Barn Trust’s Halloween Craft Session, on 23 October. Children can make slime, spider webs, and all kinds of spooky Halloween decorations. Tickets are £4 per child with free entry for adults. Book your spot here.

The BS14 Social Club is hosting a Halloween Disco Night, filled with terrifying tunes. They will also be leading games, crafts and a raffle. Dorset

If you visit Sherborne Castle on 21 and 22 October, you will find their Children’s Autumn Pumpkin Trail taking place. Solve clues throughout the trail and win prizes for your hard work. Shire Hall Museum  in Dorchester is putting on fun events for Halloween this year. They are even offering special free entry for children who are dressed up in costume. Don’t miss out on the spooky activities and treats! Find out more here.

Wiltshire

Wiltshire Treehouse is hosting a spooky Halloween Hunt at the Old Town Gardens, Swindon. For £3.50, you get admission into the event, participate in the hunt and leave with a haunted Halloween treat! Book your spot now.  

Check out The New Inn pub in Swindon for their Halloween-themed Kids Cinema. On Tuesday, 24 October, they will be showing Hocus Pocus 2, free to all children. Enjoy a day at the pub with a spooky twist. Make sure to RSVP on their Facebook page and book a spot in advance!

Gloucestershire

Party Bugs is putting on an interactive storytelling session which involves role play, a scavenger hunt and a sugary Halloween treat! It is sure to spark your little one’s imagination. Adult entry is free with £6 tickets for children. Book here.
