Changes to face-to-face services in Bristol

Our Cheltenham Road branch will be closing on 23 December

Our branch on Cheltenham Road has played an important role for the credit union for many years, but the way our members interact with us is changing.

Fewer and fewer people are using the branch service, preferring to manage their account online or via telephone. These recent digital improvements mean that even more members are benefiting from faster and easier access to our services.

Taking all of this into consideration, along with the high and rising costs associated with running a branch means that operating this fixed presence at Cheltenham Road is no longer viable. We have taken the difficult decision to close this location and Friday, 23rd December will be our last day.

We’re still here to help

We’ve been talking to members who will be most affected by these changes and have put measures in place for those that still need face-to-face support, including trialling a series of community outreaches where members can drop-in to find out more about saving and borrowing options and get support to manage their account online.  We will also be offering appointments where needed.

Talking to us

We appreciate that change is never easy, but this change of focus will give us an opportunity to test a new way of delivering face-to-face services for those that need it most before rolling out this approach to other areas in our common bond.

We’ll let you know more about these developments soon, but in the meantime if you have any questions, you can message the team via the member portal, email, or give us a call on 0117 924 7309.
